Ukulele

At the end of the 19th century, sailors brought the Cavaquinho (a small Portuguese form of a classical guitar) to Haiwaii. There, the musical instrument not only received its name "ukulele", but also the distinctive look. It is usually made of wood and differs in size, tuning and number of strings from a guitar. The most popular sizes of the ukuleles are e.g. soprano and concert ukuleles.
